Jon our team as a Crew Leader for our VT Plant - 3rd Shift. In this role you will be backup to Production Manager. Duties include teh following:

  • Ensure daily production requirements are met.
  • Obtain set-up sheets for products
  • Organizes the work and controls the flow of production on each shift.
  • Monitors production process in realations to control limits. Reviews data and interpretation of data for trends and corrective action.  Follows-up and validates effectiveness of any adjustments to the process.
  • Oversee the safe operation of all equipment at all times
  • Troubleshoot and operate equipment as required
  • Work with all operators to maintain a smooth and productive process flow
  • Computer entry of shift performance on daily production report
  • Understand/follow/enforce all company rules and policies at all times
  • Work overtime and different shifts if necessary
  • Enusres Line Operators are trained and are performing their tasks safely and in accordance with the required procedures, provides feedback on a regular basis.
  • Conducts Skills Assessments and annual Performance Appraisals for Line Operators.
  • Works with the Plant Manager in developing performance improvement plans or disciplinary action for an employee if needed.
  • Participates in interviewing for all new Line Operators.
  • Provides day-to-day supervision of the Line Operators on shift.
  • Participates in Safety Meetings and Behavior Safety Program.
  • Prepare equipment/ raw materials/ people for future runs before immediate need.
  • Follows applicable procedures, work instructions, and tests methods to perform and maintain records on the in-process production testing and Q.C. inspection of fniished product.
  • Supervise safe shift, working in a safe manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies


  • High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year previous experience in production or manufacturing preferred.
  • Familiarity with plastic extrusion equipment preferred
  • Must be certified in forklift operations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of computer skills, i.e. excel, data base, etc.
  • Must be accurate, conscientious and able to perform multiple tasks.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying 55 pounds
  • Physically capable of wearing a respirator if needed.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and physicians physical examination
