Responsibilities

Responsible for plant wide assessment regarding the quality status of all TPV products and for plant wide compliance to all quality system requirements. Also provide
technical assistance in interpreting customer quality system requirements.

  • Perform final assessment regarding quality status of all TPV products.
  • Establish direction and focus for the QC / QA Group.
  • Communicate statistical information regarding product defects to manufacturing and technical groups.
  • Provide technical assistance to external customers as directed by the Plant Manager, Sales or the Technical Group.
  • Manage the Document Control system, the Internal Audit program and the Internal Corrective Action Resolution at the Leominster, MA Plant.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Quality Management Systems (QMS ) Manual and Quality Control SOPs / Test Methods.
  • Support all departments at the Leominster, MA facility with maintenance of the quality systems and identify gaps in current quality systems and implement more effective / efficient programs.
  • Support all departments at the Leominster, MA facility with information and methods toward registration and maintenance of quality systems ( i.e. ISO ) and continuous quality improvement.
  • Provide support with customer quality audits at the Leominster, MA facility.
  • Assist with system / process improvement projects or other items assigned by the Plant Manager.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies

Education*Knowledge*Skills

  • High School or GED required; 2-4 year degree in relevant field preferred.
  • 3 years or more in a technical or quality capacity for a manufacturer of plastics compounding.
  • Solid experience with ERP systems.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Strong leadership skills-emphasis on ability to take self-directed actions.
  • Ability to handle concurrent problems and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to communicate timely and accurate information to suppliers/ customers.
  • Analytical ability and inductive thinking.
