Responsibilities

The Hose S&OP Analyst will be responsible for leading and improving the finished goods (FGs) Forecast accuracy and processes as well as RM demand planning execution for our North American Hose Business. To implement and leverage the Demand Forecasting tool to support the Hose Sales & Marketing group to execute and improve FG forecasting.  A big part of this role will be to work cross functionally and across businesses to improve our internal supply chain process and supply stream to Hose. This is a corporate position responsible for managing supplies of one or more raw material item types in North American facilities against the FG forecast requirements from our customer base.  This person determines supply positions in order to streamline inventories through purchase strategies and distributional relationships.  This position reports directly to the Master Planner.

  • Execute and maintain technical ownership of Demand Forecasting Tools to generate FG Forecasts for Hose
  • Incorporating multiple data points within a seasonal business to optimize inventory levels and customer order execution
  • Bring S&OP best practices and improvements
  • Work with Sales & Inventory Forecast Analyst (SIFA) to adhere to best practices
  • Work with SIFA to collect sales forecasts and complete forecast validation process
  • Communicate with Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Scheduling the product demand and FG forecast
  • Create and distribute FG forecast accuracy reports
  • Implement Supply Chain KPIs to improve reporting and highlight areas of improvement related to inventory levels, order execution, forecast accuracy, and others as required by the Hose Business Team
  • Execute RM demand planning via PPS170 and Distribution Orders from DPS170
  • Confirm, monitor, follow-up, and expedite as necessary all raw material PO types
  • Manage PO dates for accuracy, utilize and enforce 3PL report (ASN)
  • Utilize Monitoring Lists to capture supplier customer service/performance
  • Manage MMS002 settings for responsible materials
  • Review raw material forecasts
  • Monitor Action Messages
  • Improve intercompany distribution relationships
  • Support applicable KPIs or Metrics related to the position
  • Compliance with all policies, procedures, and rules as established.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • 3-5 years experience in raw material planning, scheduling, purchasing or related competency
  • Two-year college degree, or equivalent experience, along with a commitment to ongoing professional education.
  • Professional designations, such as APICS certifications in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management are a plus.
  • Work is substantially complex and varied, and requires the selection and application of technical and/or detailed guidelines. Moderate analytic ability is needed to gather and interpret data where results/answers can be found after analysis of several facts.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP/S&OP systems
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/Planning
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and spreadsheet skills
  • The ability to think logically through a problem
  • The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
  • Interpersonal skills to work productively and collaboratively on multi-functional teams
