    In this role the Industry Manager will be responsible for planning, directing and implementing strategies for growth as well as proposing marketing activities for the applicable industry segment.  Develops strategy project plans for the continued growth of the Vinyl Division in the designated industry segment.  Responsible for providing market analysis and recommendations for trade shows as well as advertising and promotion activities for the assigned industry.  Prioritizes research and development work as well as the short term Technical Service efforts for the industry segment.

    • Responsible for leading profitable growth of industry segment
    • Develops strategic options for  industry by analyzing market, customer, product and competitor information
    • Develops extensive knowledge of industry trends to drive growth strategies which are to be reviewed annually.
    • Proposes and advocates for the business strategy for  industry segment to the Vinyl North American business team
    • Develops overall pricing strategy for products and customers by understanding competitive pricing at customers in  industry
    • Monitors and tracks competitive activity in  industry
    • Develops product requirements through market research, customer contacts and analyzing industry trends
    • Develops in depth knowledge of applications and product performance in  industry for both Teknor Apex products and competitive products
    • Monitors and assesses quality issues and their impact on the customers in  industry
    • Approves all quality complaint responses to customers in  industry
    • Proposes and advocates for new product development projects for industry utilizing CTC process
    • Develops strong relationships with key members of all functions in order to build support and commitment to meeting the objectives for industry and division
    • Develops relationships with management of key customers to support long term business growth
    • Supports development of advertising, product brochures and press releases needed to promote Teknor Apex within  industry
    • Trains sales people on products, applications, and markets for their industry

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • Four year degree or equivalent experience in a field of study such as chemistry, business, engineering; MBA with Marketing focus preferred
    • Position requires over 10 years of commercial experience in plastics / chemicals
