    Our Regional Sales Manager is an integral part of the continuing growth of our Vinyl Division.   Serving a broad range of markets and vinyl applications the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing, supporting, and motivating the commercial sales team for a defined region in order to satisfy customer needs and build relationships to obtain increasing sales volume and profitability for the company.   


    • Coaches, trains and mentors field sales representatives including hiring, performance appraisals, and resolution of performance issues 
    • Directs field sales toward increasing sales volume and profitable business for Teknor Apex Company through mutually agreed upon goals and objectives.
    • Negotiates customer agreements, contracts, and consignments, rebates, pricing protection, and special terms and conditions.
    • Establishes pricing and maintains first line responsibility for meeting gross profit goals for the region. Develops sales budgets and forecasts for the region.
    • Ensures effective and timely support from organization i.e., processing of inquiries, quotations, complaints, lab requests, etc.
    • Conducts joint sales calls with sales representatives at key accounts and prospects.
    • Resolves account service issues with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Finance and Credit, Technical Service, or other departments as needed.
    • Reviews deductions, determines disposition and negotiates claim settlement if necessary.
    • Reviews technical information reported to customer to assure accuracy.
    • Monitors, reviews, analyzes, and directs region sales activity to ensure performance to budget and other key performance indicators and business objectives.
    • Prepares content for and participates in business reviews.
    • Coordinates coverage with other regional managers on multi-location national accounts.
    • Plans and implements informative regional meetings with specific goals and objectives.
    • Participates in national sales meetings.
    • Attends and represents Teknor Apex at trade shows.
    • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • Four year degree or equivalent experience in a field of study such as chemistry, engineering, general business, marketing, etc.  MS, MA, MBA degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in a related industry, including 3 to 5 years of commercial sales and management of a sales team.
    • Ability to coach and develop a team and work successfully in a cross - functional team environment.
    • Strong project management skills. 

    Location: USA field based position.  Must reside within the sales region – preferred locations include New England, Mid-Atlantic.


    Travel: estimated at 50%
