    This is a hands-on position that requires a high level of critical thinking and the ability to get deep in the details to understand end-user requirements and how the systems can support those requirements. Strong understanding of system capabilities to ensure proper configuration with a focus on ease of use and standardization.  Ability to work through issues within a team environment utilizing active listening and an openness for assessing various solutions and working through obstacles.  Strong training and presentation skills with the ability to teach end - users at varying levels.  Self - motivated and willing to take on various tasks and projects to support the transition of the HRIS function through the implementation of various systems.


    The HRIS Manager will provide support to the HRIS function in the area of project management, system configuration, testing, system documentation and end user training.   This position interacts closely with HR functional teams to support employee data needs for these area.  The HRIS Manager will play an integral role in supporting the HRIS initiatives focused on ease of use for end-users,  standardization across locations, efficient and stream-lined processes and ensuring data integrity and privacy compliance.


    • Lead projects for system updates and enhancements of HR tools ( HRIS, Workflow, ESS etc) includes creation of project plan, conducts regular status meetings and ensures full testing and training of system users.

    • Provide functional expertise as the HRIS subject matter expert on cross-functional projects. Focuses on process improvement, streamlining both business and system processes.

    • Research and resolve HRIS problems; recommend solutions or alternative methods.

    • Lead the analysis, design, development, and implementation of new features and enhanced functionality in the HR systems.

    • Support HR functional areas during HRIS implementation and provide systems support and guidance to the HR Team

    • Lead on going enhancements, configuration, testing and user training for Time and Attendance system (Kronos)

    • Review current systems and make recommendations for improvements

    • Interact with HR technology vendors on problems and problem resolution.

    • Develop user procedures, guidelines and system or process documentation for the HRIS function.

    • Create training materials and presentations that can be used by team members and end-users.

    • Create documentation and provide training on HRIS system and processes in person or virtual.

    • Assist with testing of systems, conversion of data onto HRIS, and implementation of new systems and integration with other systems and locations.

    • Create standard and ad-hoc reports for end – users

    • Provide on-going systems support and guidance to HR team.

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • Minimum 5 years of technical HRIS experience, system development and project management

    • Experience with full –life cycle HRIS implementation and support. UltiPro and Kronos highly preferred

    • Experience with Cognos, ATS

    • Strong affinity for technology and HRIS software.

    • Displays a high-level critical thinking, detail oriented and analytical thinking

    • Strong leadership and teambuilding skills with self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a “hands on” mentality.

    • Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    • Strong relationship builder with a focus on delivering a quality product to the end-user

    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with end -users.

    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once.

    • Ability to maintain confidential information.

    • Knowledge of HR processes, procedures, and policies.
