    • Completes daily production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel as needed; establishing shift priorities; monitoring progress; resolving process and quality problems; reporting results of the shift production on the daily production reports.
    • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; implementing lean principles; monitoring reporting procedures and systems; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
    • Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing policies, and procedures.
    • Maintains staff by training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
    • Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
    • Meet product quality requirements by following and enforcing the company quality system and its procedures, following of batch card instructions and process conditions. Submit requests for changes when necessary.
    • Ensures proper operation of equipment by operators and issuance of work orders for repairs.
    • Insure a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the proper use of equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established environmental and safety policies and procedures.

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Plastics extrusion/injection molding, medical device or automotive manufacturing highly desired
    • Working experience in an ISO, TS, AS, cGMP or related quality system
    • Experience in a union environment and working with a collective bargaining agreement highly desired
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
