    Responsibilities

    Working on our Vinyl Sales team, this person will be responsible for establishing good business relationships with existing customers and developing prospects that will lead to increased sales volume and profitability.

     

    The Account Manager / Sales Representative is expected to successfully sell at all levels of management and build relationships that ensure Teknor Apex is considered the “preferred” vendor.  Successful individuals routinely assist customers and prospects in problem solving, and display energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism in their daily responsibilities and actions.  

     

    • Works with new and existing customers to gain approvals for increased sales volume.
    • Maintains and manages an opportunity pipeline that ensures robust new business development meeting established targets.
    • Develops, implements, maintains, and communicates strategic account and prospect plans including metrics to ensure successful business growth.
    • Establishes / maintains good internal and external business relationships.
    • Obtains product suggestions from Technical Service to meet customer requirements through LSR.
    • Assists to negotiate contracts for increased sales.
    • Negotiates price increases.
    • Obtains orders.
    • Offers technical support to customers.
    • Addresses and communicates complaints with both Teknor Apex Technical Service and the customer.
    • Attends Regional and National sales meetings.
    • Represents Teknor Apex at trade shows.
    • Attends and participates in industry related seminars and various related trade organizations.
    • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

     

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • Four year degree or equivalent experience in a field of study such as chemistry, engineering, general business, marketing, etc.
    • Position requires 2-4 years experience including consultative and tactical selling, cold calling, and account management in industrial Business to Business sales; preferably in plastics, plastics processing, or chemicals industries.  Technical and / or operations experience is a plus.

    Location – USA field based position.  Must reside within the sales territory - preferrably RI, MA, Southern NH.

     

    Travel - estimated at 50%
