    Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for the oversight, management and control of all procurement activities within the organization by establishing global strategies, guidelines and policies for all regions on procurement policies, execution and management of Teknor Apex’s supplier base.     

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Overall responsibility for procurement functions and activities.
    • Negotiates and maintains major corporate supply contracts and relationships.
    • Identifies, selects, and maintains strategic sources of supply.
    • Develops employees within Procurement to support the growth of the organization through direct coaching and mentoring.
    • Prepares and monitors annual department budget
    • Develops strategic one, three, and five year strategies for the growth and development of procurement in alignment with supply chain objectives and business goals.
    • Advises supply chain, business managers and senior management of market issues and market trends impacting pricing and product availability and recommends course of action.
    • Analyzes monthly operating and financial reports and purchase price variances.

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • Successful candidate will have over 10 years of progressive leadership experience at the manager or director level within procurement. Global experience is preferred.
    • Four year college degree in a field of study such as chemistry, engineering, business or related field; an MBA degree is strongly preferred.
    • APICS or ISM Certification is also preferred.
    • Proven abilities in managing and leading a global staff, both direct and indirect.
    • Demonstrated expertise in complex negotiation tactics.
