    Teknor Apex Company is looking for a Human Resources Manager to work with business groups at multiple locations to implement and oversee HR policies and procedures.   Areas of primary focus include: employee relations, exempt and non-exempt recruiting, performance management, coordination and support of compensation program(s) and HR legal compliance and change management. Provide strategic input to the design and development of HR initiatives that support both national and local business objectives.


    • Coach managers on effective employee relations resolution and performance management techniques to mitigate company risk while supporting business objectives
    • Guide and advise individual employees in case of problem situations, matters of conditions of employment, education and career-matters, if necessary with help of experts.  This includes designing individual development plans and relevant training for employees.
    • Manage the ongoing implementation, communication and administration of Teknor Apex’s variable compensation plans
    • Effective implementation and ongoing management of annual HR processes - i.e., annual salary review, goal setting and appraisal
    • Assist in identification of staff developmental/training needs
    • Recruit, interview, select and hire employees; develop and implement succession planning.
    • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data and makes recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement
    • Respond to requests for employee data; prepare Management reports as required
    • Special projects
    • Perform other related duties as required

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of seven (7) years of HR experience
    • Strong generalist background required
    • Experience within a multi-site organization required; manufacturing environment preferred
    • Strategic and innovative thinker; ability to gain the confidence of managers and partner with them to achieve business objectives
    • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Solid Project Management skills
    • Ability to manage and prioritize conflicting demands and work with high autonomy as well as meet tight deadlines
    • Adheres to strict confidentiality requirements
    • Able to analyze data and develop recommendations
    • 30% travel required
    • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
